Procedures - Step by Step

Have you ever wondered how these procedures are done?

I love surgery and I love teaching. I've been making step by step videos to teach other surgeons and these are some of my cases. Hope you enjoy.

Bone Grafts

Split Ridge

When the alveolar ridge is too narrow but still 3-4 mm in width, we can do a single stage split ridge technique. This preserves bone and still attains primary stability of our implants.

Ramus or Symphysis Graft

When the alveolar ridge is deficient - either vertically or horizontally - an onlay bone graft is a great option. A popular source is either the ramus or symphysis of the mandible, as it avoids the morbidity of a secondary donor site.

Illiac Crest and Tibial Grafts

In certain circumstances, we harvest bone from either the illiac crest (for cortical bone) or the tibia (for cancellous bone). These are also great options.
